Who we build for.
We work in structural steel and the trades around it. That focus is deliberate — takeoffs, submittals, WIP schedules and signatory agreements are not general construction problems, and software built for “construction” broadly tends to handle none of them well.
Structural steel fabricators
Shops running material from mill cert to load-out, where margin lives in the shop hours nobody is measuring.
What usually hurts
- Piece status lives in someone's head, or on a whiteboard nobody photographs
- Takeoffs rebuilt from scratch every bid because the last one is buried in a spreadsheet
- Nesting and remnant tracking done by eye, so drops get scrapped instead of reused

- Field crews working from prints that were superseded two revisions ago
- Daily reports written at the end of the week, from memory
- RFIs sent by email and lost in a thread until they become a schedule impact
- Timecards reconciled by hand against a job the foreman may not have coded right

- Drawing revision control that makes the current sheet obvious
- RFI tracking with ball-in-court visibility so nothing sits unanswered
Miscellaneous and ornamental metals
Handrail, stairs, ladders and architectural work — high piece count, low tonnage, and estimating rules that do not transfer from structural.

- Hundreds of small unique pieces, each with its own fabrication path
- Structural estimating templates that badly misprice light, labour-heavy work
- Field measurements that change what was already fabricated

- Estimating that prices labour hours rather than tonnage

General contractors and construction managers
The other side of the table — teams who need the steel package to be legible before it becomes a critical-path problem.
